Born and raised right here in Kentucky, I'm just man trying to make the best of himself and those around me. I take great pride in my sense of respect and honest. I may not always make the best decisions all the time but I realize I'm human and that's just another (tougher) form of learning for me. Well, I'm devoted to music. I like most kinds of music but especially metal, punk, rap and techno. I have been playing guitar for 9 years. My dream is to lead a band and tour all over the world. I am always looking for new or arcane knowledge, but not arcane in the religious sense. I love a good joke and enjoy spontaneous fits of laughter with someone else. I'm not above a good nerd fest, but I also like more sophisticated entertainment such as the theater (no not the movie theater!).
My real name is, in fact, alex, so it's not just a clever nick name. I read lots of books and watch movies over and over again. I hang out with my friends a lot and we go hang out on bardstown road (which is like the sunset strip only not at all like that) and I work in a shoe store (heh heh heh).
I am a martial artist and have gotten a back belt in taekwondo (whether or not it's a ligit form of tkd is open for debate) and is one of the things i'm most proud of. I'm into the whole eastern philosophy deal but i'm not creepy in that hare krishna type of way (I hope!). I'm always open to try new things and meet new people and an I believe that experience makes you who you are, so have more of them, no matter what.
My motto is never sell out and never give up, so I'm not looking for the whole paris hilton, promiscuous, bang every guy in town type of girl. I do enjoy being romantic and sitting and talking and possibly cuddling (I can admit that!) and can get along with just about anyone unless they are just so lacking in social skills that they could jump off a cliff and no one would notice.
I have a tendency to be blunt run out of words sometimes, such as now lol!

I'm a gamer, mostly table top. I have studied martial arts since I was about 6. Studying to be a massage therapist. I am a very physical person. Actual contact with a person makes me feel more alive I guess. Reminds me of the fact that we are not alone in the world. I have a cuddle obsession, even with people I am not dating. Needles to say, I am very hands on. Other then that, I am a poly with a very laid back attitude about most things in life. Not that I am content with letting life pass me by, I just don't sweat the small stuff or let stupid people get me down.

I am into Anime and Manga, I guess, but I take it like everything else. Some of it is good, some of it is bad, but most of it is mediocre. I tend to lump it into other genres, not make it it's own. That tends to upset most Anime fans I have met thus far.

I am also into somethings most guys aren't. I am an accomplished cook, and enjoy sewing... mainly making costumes. I am an avid reader, and have a love for musicals and romantic comedies. I believe that stems from me being bisexual, or as I prefer to call myself, half-gay.

I enjoy gaming a great deal. Role Playing, mainly table top, is a long love of mine. I enjoy LARP but have yet to find a group in the area. I love going to Conventions and Renaissance Faires, or more commonly referred to as Renfaires

Does anybody else feel completely self-conscious having to write one of these things? I don't really think about myself all that much, so it's kind of hard for me to write something here.

Ahem. I guess you could call me a geek (not a nerd, and yes, there is a difference). I've lived pretty much my entire life in Louisville. The things I look for more than anything in people are intelligence and wit. If you don't like learning new things, I'm not sure I'd like you. Sometimes I like trying new things - it depends on how adventurous I am that day.

I finally had the opportunity to travel to Europe last year and I can't wait to go back! I plan on attending the Winter Olympics in Vancouver next year and the Summer Games in London in two years (going to Olympics in English-speaking countries makes things a lot easier logistically).

I love anything artsy and creative. I paint, collage, sculpt, draw, sew, bead, and bake. I like to dabble in photography and writing (I've won some awards for my short stories and a couple poems). I used to a married man. I was very faithful to my wife and I loved her so. She was a BBW and I loved her. No matter how big she was, I still loved her. I became a very sick man. My lungs were slowing killing me with emphysema,I lived on oxygen. March 2005 I nearly died, was put on a ventailator for four days and there I decided I wanted a lung transplant. I went through the test and procedures that the Transplant team wanted me to do. I was put on the list in November and in 28 days I recieved my double lung transplant. At the same time, my wife of 17 years started having an affair with a guy twenty years younger than us. She cheated on me and I couldn't take it. It hurt so bad. I got a new lease on life and find out my wife is a whore. So now I'm free of her. I live my life for the day. I am happy now, I am doing things that I couldn't do a few years ago. Single and looking around. The main thing for me is to enjoy life and not sweat the small stuff.

I finally graduated from University of Kentucky. I'm moving on and moving up. I moved to Owensboro, and work as a purification associate. As always, I spend my time in the lab or the library. Still love france and the french. Using my triple major to change the world...or at least alter it slightly. I live too far away from Red River Gorge now, and I don't get to climb anymore. bummer.

I still spend most of my time studying and working. If I could, I would just pack up and move to the gorge, and spend the rest of my life rock climbing and being a bum. That would be awesome. Other than that, I love to read, swim and dance, and do just about everything else. :-)

I want there to be such a thing as magic. I took one of those tests that tends to nail your personality, and my two strongest traits were "nurturing and skeptic." Artist, living a very surreal life. Unsure what I'm about here, perhaps boredom. Never know where a day will take you. There's nothing hotter than a man with a big set of brains on him. I try to do what I ought, to do the best with what I have. My tastes range all over. I'm not some fancy broad, but I like well made things.

Barnes and Noble is an obsession. Yes, I am a part-time nerd. I like spicy food, but not obscenely spicy food. I hate black licorice. Also, screw mayonnaise while we're at it. ...I'm not to very good at these, it's harder to "summarize myself" than I thought.

I play bass guitar and love to play acoustic. I live a simple life. I am a manager at a lil locally owned pizza shop here in town, and I enjoy it. I love people and conversations, but I have a knack for getting shy when I'm interested in a woman.
Because I am so laid back and love to joke around, people commonly think I am flirting, but it wouldn't really be possible...since I am the same way with all strangers and friends alike.

I am a trusting person and assume the best from people until I'm proven wrong. Friends say it makes me gullible, but I would rather be gullible than jaded.
I moved from Upstate NY to Louisville, KY with the band I was in several years back. And I guess this is my new home.

Apparently I'm sloppier, more literary, and more pessimistic than other males my age. I'm not surprised when things go wrong, and sometimes I even expect them to, but I also believe that things work out for the best in the end. I'm not nearly as literary as I can pretend to be; I've just worked in a bookstore for six years. As for sloppy, well...I'm improving. :)

Well let's see now...I'm 27, single (obviously), a home-owner, pet lover, very fond of people of all kinds but I really value the people I hold close: I'm extremely loyal to those I care about. I am a very deeply caring, loving person and I wouldn't ever intentionally harm anyone; I believe in non-violence, and try my best to lead a life that impacts others only in positive ways. I'm by no means perfect, nor do I strive for perfection, but I would say that my good qualities far outweigh my faults.

I work hard, I'm a good listener, loyal, honest and real. I don't put up a front or show to fit in, I never have been comfortable with that, I just strive to understand myself and the world around me better by asking questions, investigating, learning and seeking truth. I love to giggle, have fun, be silly and goofy: to look for the fantastic in the simplicity of life, if I can.
