The Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfurt, Kentucky, opens the holiday season with its annual Christmas party. Every December, thousands of visitors from around the country gather to get in the mood for the holidays. The Christmas lights illuminate the distillery area, Christmas shops are set up for shopping and Santa Claus himself visits the distillery several times. After the lights of the distillery are switched on, visitors can drive up for just $5 for a few hours to see the display.
For all your shopping needs, there's a brand new Wal-Mart that opened in Crestwood in 2016. If you go further out, the trek is on the highway isbe a trek away, but it is worth the drive.
Residents also like to visit the park for various events at the Iroquois Amphitheatre, but my favourite is also a designated spot for the annual Christmas tree lighting. There is also the Robert E. Dell Garden, an internationally recognized center for gardening, which is registered in the National Register of Historic Places. The garden offers a wide range of activities throughout the year, from a hummingbird festival to trained exhibits that will welcome the holiday spirit.

The Louisville Orchestra offers classical programs with world-renowned guest artists such as the world's most famous opera singers, musicians and composers.
